About the Author
DWIGHT BURKHOLDER was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia, the seventh of eight children. He grew up on a small farm where he learned the value of hard work and the importance of family values. Married at the age of 20, Dwight worked for a residential builder where he learned the carpentry trade. An avid hunter, Dwight has hunted extensively throughout the United States and South Africa. Dwight and his wife, Linda, enjoy travel and have visited places such as Europe, Italy, Sicily, South Africa, Mexico, Australia, Fiji, Brazil, Bermuda, Costa Rica and New Zealand.The Burkholders are active in their local church in Virginia. They are proud parents of three adult children and delighted grandparents of six grandchildren and a foster baby girl grandchild. His grandchildren lovingly call him PopPop and enjoy learning to hunt, stack firewood, and eat medium rare, grilled steak when visiting! Dwight's other hobbies in addition to hunting include playing the fiddle, singing, playing table games, and golfing.
